Bow Holder

We decided to do a craft and Sophia's bow basket was getting out of control. Every morning she would want to pick her bow, so she would have to take everything out of the basket to find the right bow. Sophia painted the S all by herself. She was so proud of it and I think it turned out great. Now, she can see all of her bows right there on the wall and she can pick her own bow every morning.

I'm a movie star

Anytime Sophia puts on glasses, she says, "I'm a movie star." I had to take her picture in the car because she was looking so darn cute.

Hi Ho Cherrio

Sophia's new favorite game is Hi Ho Cherrio. She wants to play it all of the time. She loves to count the fruit as she is putting it into her basket. They makes sure we know whose turn it is. "Daddy, you're turn."

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland again. I had a random day off from work, so there was no one at the park. It was a great time. The princess line was really short, so we finally got in to see the princesses. Sophia was so excited that she got to see so m any princesses at once. Also, it is a great setup because the kids get one on one time with the princesses. They had full conversations with her. It was great. While on the tea cup ride, Sophia saw Captain Hook. She was so excited. Mom and Sophia ran after him and she was excited that he kissed her hand.

Highland Library

We went with our friends to the Highland library. Sophia loves to look at all the fish and the animals they have there. She also loves to read in the big tree. Then Sophia and Emma thought it was more fun to jump off the big tree rather than read in it.

Toddler Bed

We changed Sophia's bed into a toddler bed. She loves that she can get in and out on her own. We also bought her special princess bedding for her new big girl bed. We were ready all night to put the crib side back up on the crib, but she slept through the night and then called for us in the morning and asked if it was alright to get out of bed.

Sophia's first pedicure

We went to the nail shop to get Sophia's toes painted. She was hesitant at first, but once she got her feet into the water, she loved it. She was so excited about her toes and she wanted to show everyone. She picked out her own color of nail polish and said she wanted flowers on her toes.

Trains at the Museum

We went to the museum to see the train exhibit. There were a lot of model trains and there were a couple that let the kids run their own trains. They also had the regular sized train outside that Sophia loved. But the big hit was the play train table. We had a great family day together.

Went to the Park

We decided to go to the park before the deluge of week long rain started. Sophia had a blast going down the slide and swinging on the swing.

Playdate

We went to our friend Samantha's house for a playdate. She has an awesome swing set that was the hit of the playdate. Sophia loved to lounge at the top of the slide.

Park playdate

We went to the park for a playdate. Sophia had a great time running around and going down the big slide. Also, we had another meeting of Swingers Anonymous where Sophia nearly fell asleep while in the swing. The only bad thing was that it got dark too early and the kids were angry that they had to leave so early.

We didn't make it to the Rose Parade this year. I am not getting up at three in the morning to get there. Maybe when Sophia is a bit older we can make it, but not this young. So we went to the float viewing to see the floats up close. Sophia loved all of the flowers, especially when there were animals on the floats. The big attraction was the sledding dogs. It was also a hot day. It got up to 80 degrees and you could tell who was not from here because they were all bundled up in sweaters :) We are defiantly going to try to come back next year to check out all of the great floats from the Rose Parade.

Countdown to noon

We got together with our friends to countdown to noon (since we won't make it to midnight). We had a great time playing with our friends and eating yummy food. Sophia and Hayden were "doing lunch" and having a great time playing with Hayden's toys. It is always a great time when we get together with old friends and we also got to meet some new friends. Happy New Year!!!!
