Gavin's 1st Birthday

Gavin turned one year old today!!! We went to his birthday party and had a great time. They had a bounce house and we played on the new swing set. Sophia loved the bounce house as soon as she got her footing and figured out the balancing issues. She loved swinging on the swing of course :) Gavin LOVED his smash cake. He cried when Dennis took it away from him. It was a great day...it ended up being 82 degrees today.

Helping build a swingset

Chris helped Dennis and Stephanie build the new swing set they got Gavin for his first birthday. It was fun to see they guys building the swing set together. They each had every tool that they owned spread out across the backyard. Stephanie even got in on the action when the boys were too heavy to get in the fort and she had to put the slats and the tarp on the top. Gavin and Sophia gave it the seal of approval when it was done. There is a slide and swings so Sophia is in heaven. She fell of the wagon and needs another SA (swingers anonymous) meeting because she did not want to get off of the swing when we had to go home.

Married

Chris and I got married yesterday.
We are very happy and really excited. My mom has all of the pictures on her camera so I will upload some when I get them from her.

Well Baby Visit

We went for Sophia's well baby visit today. She is 28.4 pounds (90th percentile) and 31 inches (50th percentile). We had a bit of a mishap when the doctor wanted to get a blood draw for lead levels and anemia. The phleobotomist could not get her vein and he was digging around in her arm. This was so traumatizing for both of us. They did not get the draw and the lab tech asked when we wanted to come back to try again. Are you effing kidding me. There is no way in hell I would ever put her through that again. Other than that, most things went well.

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone has a great Valentine's day!! Here are the roses that Chris got me. I love them :) (don't mind the high chair hehe)

Sophia is 18 months old today!!!

Sophia turns eighteen months today. I cannot believe that my baby girl is so grown up. It seems like I just had her yesterday. So, as is tradition. Sophia gets a half of a birthday cake on her half birthday. We shared with our friends at a playgroup at Allison's house.

Rainy Disneyland

I had the day off of work today so we decided to go to Disneyland. We were not banned today so it was perfect. Except the rain. There were only two times that it rained hard and we ducked into a store to ride it out. Sophia of course wanted to go on Dumbo over and over again. She keeps saying, "more wee, more wee." She also liked the carousel because it went around and around. Overall, it was a great day with the family.

Baby Shower for Tracy!!!

Tracy came down and we had a baby shower for her and baby Shorter. It was so much fun. It was a much needed night out with good friends.

Mommy's Purse

I was getting ready to go to my good friend Tracy's baby shower and Sophia loved my purse. It was her size. She always tries to wear my big purse and go "bye bye." When she got one look at the little purse, she knew it was hers. I had to distract her with bapes (grapes) so I could get my purse back :)

Library Day

We went to the library today. We had never been to the Highland library and there is a ton f stuff to do there. They have native desert animals and bugs and lizards. The kids were really into the fish and the snakes. We had a great time running around the huge area that they had for kids. We also met a new friend, Noah.

Some letters

We have been practicing our letters in the bath and Sophia has got a few of them down. U is our new letter so she is still working on that one. We have to get Chris in the to work on numbers because I think my hatred of math is rubbing off on her. She only knows the number 2. :) :)
